The heart's grace note sings into Spring

Plus: curiosity as a 'shit shield'

vol. 2 Episode 32

Greetings,

Full moons always have a push-pull quality to them. We feel it in our bodies, which of course have tides; they are three-quarters water. We feel it in our hearts, therefore, as blood cannot stream through our veins without the contractions and expulsions that create the rhythm of our pulse. We detect it in our thoughts, which either calcify or flow, according to how well our lymphatics scrub our brains, and our sense of the future pulls us toward it.

This full moon across the Libra/Aries axis (at least in Western Tropical astrology) feels especially potent, I think. It is Passover. It is Good Friday. It is baseball season. We are impelled to go do something by Aries, but asked by Libra to wait for the signal from someone else before we sprint to the next corner. What surprise awaits? What calamity will befall us for not waiting?

It’s not a riddle to solve, so much as a paradox to consider from our position in the liminal, that place pregnant, like a full moon, with the potential for something to happen. Be here now, as Ram Dass famously said.

He also said, after having a stroke that left him with aphasia, and which also really pissed him off until he came upon the way to see it as an act of grace: “Death is the biggest challenge we’ll face, so we need to practice change.”

So, in this moment of potential pivot, coupling or separating, signaling or writing new code…can you keep your head in the game? What you’re likely to find when the time comes to look back, is that it was your heart that was leading, anyway. It is, after all, the organ that hears and then sets itself to our truest rhythm.

Are you listening to what your heart song is trying to sing you into being?

My general predictions made for outgoing Scottish First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, proven true with the news of her husband’s arrest, Elisabeth’s wrap of the week’s headlines and her forecast of what’s to come, including the latest developments in POTUS45’s meet-up with his felonious fate, Tennessean fuckery, and potential Plutonic outpourings of cash in positive ways.

Also, my take on what the Nordstream pipeline rupture can teach us about using curiosity as a shit shield, and an exchange about the powerful personal impact of firing a gun.
