Greetings,
Our first episode was a success, thanks to you. We are grateful for the feedback, and the time you spent listening. In episode 2, co-host Elisabeth Grace and I continue to explore the synchronicities between celestial patterns and headline news.
This episode is intended to help manage your expectations around recent heavy events in the news, particularly Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. We explain why events both at home and abroad seem to be happening faster and “furiouser” and set the stage for future events.
The Great Mutation
We lay out why and how there is a paradigm shift in human experience, specifically, a move from deriving meaning and value from land-based resources to those of the air, including our minds and our imaginations. We explain how the recent travels of the Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto set us up to expect explosive headlines, heavy thoughts, “pixie dust” diversions, clandestine power plays, and moving into this weekend, courageous hearts and “ginormous” lottery winnings.
Your personal map legend
There is a lot to cover, but we break things down so you can understand how planetary patterns are signaling trouble ahead, and potential ways to harness energies through. Remember that the stars do not compel us to do anything, but they do “impel” us to pay attention and choose our actions with care, regardless of circumstances. The more you know how to read the traffic signals of the sky, so to speak, the more defensively you can drive yourself through the roads of your life. Horoscopes are charts, and charts are maps. We give you the map legend; you chart your course.
A tribute and some visits
If I’d never listened to the late Chris Flisher’s show The Turning of the Wheel, I might never have befriended Elisabeth. Chris died last month, taken by glioblastoma (brain cancer), and is missed sorely by the astrological community. We offer a tribute to Chris, and he seems to acknowledge us with a “ping”.
We’re also visited by self-appointed executive producer Schroeder Fishburn (whether or not we actually want his input).
The Off the Charts Mission:
This podcast is an antidote to the toxicity and mind-screw of corporate media. They make money by aggregating our attention and then selling it. That way, we are simultaneously the consumers of news, but also the product the corporate media sells, and not always to people whose intentions are in our best interests.
By cluing you in to what you can expect to see in the news, our mission is this:
1) Help you recognize how the corporate media deliberately assaults your nervous system and occupies your mind, essentially addicting you to their hype and compelling you to watch, even though it stresses you out to do so.
2) Help you anticipate the cycles and trends in the world so you can see that the world is not a random, chaotic, scary place, but part of an ensouled universe where cycles within cycles point to there being a greater consciousness, a larger intelligence that is more awesome than we humans, even if we don’t understand it.
3) Empower you to go from anticipating trends and events to participating in them, assigning them meaning so that your life is not just one of drudgery, manipulation, and then you die.
When you are the media, the “go-between” heaven and earth, you get to help shape whatever these conscious patterns of great goodness and intelligence might be, you engage with the archetypes of our existence, and your life takes on greater depths.
